What it is

The menopausal transition brings a constellation of skin changes that go beyond wrinkles. Texture becomes uneven, pores appear more prominent, hyperpigmentation surfaces in new patterns, and the natural luminosity that once came easily seems harder to recapture. Our skin rejuvenation treatments address all of these changes holistically. From medical-grade chemical peels and microneedling to advanced light-based therapies, we design personalised treatment journeys that work with your skin's changing biology — not against it. Every protocol is physician-designed and delivered by clinicians who understand the hormonal underpinning of what your skin is experiencing.

How hormones shape this treatment

Falling oestrogen disrupts melanin regulation, leading to increased photodamage sensitivity and hormonal pigmentation changes. Reduced cell turnover means dull, textured skin that takes longer to recover from sun exposure or inflammation. Sebaceous gland activity also shifts, sometimes causing dryness, sensitivity, or paradoxical breakouts. Our rejuvenation protocols are calibrated for these specific patterns — gentler, longer intervals, and ingredients that support barrier function.

Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling (collagen induction therapy) uses a device with fine, sterile needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the body's natural wound-healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin. It is one of the most evidence-based treatments available for improving skin texture, reducing pore size, and rebuilding collagen lost during menopause.

With the wrong approach, yes — aggressive treatments on hormonally sensitised skin can trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This is exactly why physician oversight matters. We use lower-energy, hormonally-appropriate protocols and prepare your skin before any resurfacing treatment.

Most patients see meaningful change within 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We reassess at each visit and adjust your protocol based on how your skin responds.

This depends on the treatment. Many of our rejuvenation options have minimal to no downtime. Deeper peels or microneedling may involve 2–5 days of redness and flaking. We will guide you clearly on what to expect before you book.

Yes — when delivered by trained clinicians using appropriate protocols. We start conservatively and increase intensity only when your skin has demonstrated it is ready. Skin barrier health is always our first priority.

Absolutely — and even more so after treatment. Menopausal skin is more photosensitive, and UV exposure is the single largest driver of the pigmentation changes you are trying to address. We recommend a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily, all year round.

Pre-treatment: pause retinoids and AHAs (glycolic, lactic acid) for five days before, avoid exfoliating scrubs for three days, and protect your skin from sun exposure. Post-treatment: SPF 50 is non-negotiable every day. Avoid heat, steam, and sweating for 48 hours. Use only a gentle cleanser and plain moisturiser for five days. Avoid actives (retinoids, AHAs, vitamin C) until redness has settled — usually five to seven days.
